Fortitude was built from the ground up with one clear purpose: to redefine how fitness and performance facilities are delivered. Fortitude is not just a business, it is a mission built on service, standards and long-term impact.
Founded by Drew Blofeld after leaving the British Army, Fortitude has grown into a multi-division group delivering large-scale, turnkey gym and performance infrastructure projects across the UK for commercial, military, education and public-sector clients.
What started as a small operation has evolved into an integrated ecosystem, bringing together construction, equipment, manufacturing, training and servicing under one trusted brand.

Our team is passionate about fitness innovation, with a strong military heritage and a mix of gym owners, trainers, and experienced tradespeople from within the fitness industry. We are committed to bringing both expertise and dedication to every project.
Fortitude’s vision is to redefine what partnership truly means in the fitness and construction industry. Many companies use the word partner, but still operate as suppliers. Fortitude was built to be different.

Fortitude wasn’t built in a boardroom. It was built on discipline, pressure, and the understanding that when standards drop, people feel it.
Drew Blofeld served 9 years in the British Army with the Royal Engineers, completing operational tours of Afghanistan as part of the Counter-IED Task Force. In an environment where precision and accountability were critical, he developed a mindset built on resilience, ownership, and high standards.
Alongside this, Drew qualified as an Army Physical Training Instructor, building a deep understanding of how physical environments influence performance, mindset, and recovery, a foundation that now underpins Fortitude’s training led, performance focused approach.
Since leaving the Army in 2014, Drew has built Fortitude from the ground up into a multi division group delivering projects across the UK and internationally. Operating as a principal contractor, Fortitude provides complete end to end solutions across design, construction, installation, and ongoing support.
Drew leads national projects, multi site rollouts, and specialist installations across hotels, universities, military establishments, local authorities, and commercial gym operators. Under his leadership, Fortitude has positioned itself as a true delivery partner, aligning design intent with real world execution. At its core, Fortitude is built on a simple principle:
No gaps. No handovers. No excuses.
This approach ensures accountability at every stage, removing friction, reducing risk, and delivering consistently high standards for every client. Beyond business, Drew remains closely connected to the veteran community. Through his support of Veterans Army, he is committed to helping former service personnel rebuild structure, purpose, and identity through training, community, and opportunity.

Elliott Eyles is the Commercial Director at Fortitude, responsible for overseeing finance, commercial strategy, and process improvement across the entire business. With extensive experience working in finance roles for large national and global organisations, Elliott brings a disciplined, data-driven approach shaped by industries including construction and facilities management. His role exists to protect financial stability, improve operational efficiency, and ensure Fortitude continues to scale sustainably without compromising on quality or delivery.
Elliott’s approach is built around structure, clarity, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on refining systems month-on-month to deliver better outcomes for clients and teams alike. What sets Fortitude apart from Elliott’s previous experience is the company’s total accountability and genuine oneness across departments — supported by a shared Fortitude Code that places integrity and an “adapt & overcome” mindset at the heart of every decision. Elliott is excited to help build Fortitude into a nationwide, end-to-end gym delivery partner, known for reliability, transparency, and excellence at every stage of the project lifecycle.

Michael leads Fortitude’s Build & Construction division, delivering refurbishment and construction-led fitouts from early scope through to final handover. He is responsible for protecting programme certainty, quality, safety and the Fortitude reputation, ensuring every project runs with structure, control and professionalism.
Overseeing scope definition, programme planning, procurement, site setup and trade coordination, Michael ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. His focus is simple: clear planning, tight sequencing, strong communication and quality without compromise.
With a background rooted in live construction environments, Michael brings hands-on experience in workmanship, detailing and programme control. SMSTS and PRINCE2 qualified, he leads with discipline, accountability and a solutions-led mindset.
Success, for Michael, means calm, well-managed sites, predictable programmes and handovers that feel effortless to the client. Three words that define his approach: Reliable. Organised. Accountable.
His vision is to build a scalable, best-in-class construction division known for consistent delivery, high standards and long-term client trust.
David is the Installation Manager at Fortitude, leading and supporting the company’s installation division across commercial gym and fitness projects. He oversees day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of installs, managing teams, schedules, logistics, and on-site delivery to ensure every project is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Before joining Fortitude, David gained extensive experience in logistics with AB InBev and managed telecommunications departments, where he honed his skills in operational efficiency, team leadership, and large-scale project coordination. This diverse background informs his practical approach to managing complex installations and delivering projects with precision.
In his current role, David is responsible for protecting delivery, quality, safety, and operational efficiency while supporting strong team performance and consistent project outcomes. He makes key decisions around planning, problem-solving, and quality control, ensuring projects run smoothly and clients receive fully functional, ready-to-use fitness spaces.
Guided by Fortitude’s values, David ensures every project reflects the company’s commitment to ownership, professionalism, and follow-through. He helps Fortitude act as a true delivery partner by maintaining high standards across communication, execution, and client experience, while safeguarding the brand and reputation on every site.
